“We LOVE our photos – thank you so much for capturing our special day, they’re exactly the types of moments we wanted as keepsakes” – Jaine and Paul
I’m noticing a bit of a developing trend over the last few years for couples to get married in one wedding venue and then move onto another for the reception. A few years ago people seemed a little less adventurous and just stayed put in the one venue a bit more! Moving venues is great for me as it gives a wider variety of backdrop and context and also sometimes gives the opportunity for some “transportation” shots as well. I’ve photographed couples travelling in punts, on vintage buses, vintage tractors, old cars, horses and carriages, helicopters and more!
However, one of the nicest things is often simply walking from one venue to the other as Jaine and Paul did between Sidney Sussex College and Jesus College in Cambridge. Inevitably passers-by shout congratulations and the hustle and bustle of a busy weekend afternoon makes a good backdrop.
You can see a couple of Jaine and Paul’s transportation images below as well as a small selection of a few of my favourites from the day!
