All of the pictures in my portfolio are in what I think of as being my “signature style” – of course I photograph cake cuttings and details like everyone else but these are the types of photograph that I am really looking for on the day. So I’m looking for emotion, human connection and interaction, moments of humour and the slightly quirky things that give each wedding it’s own identity.
All of the images are “as it happened” – nothing was set up and the people in the pictures often don’t realise that they are being photographed. By nature I’m drawn to black and white imagery for all sorts of reasons and so a lot here are in black and white although a full set of images from a wedding normally comes out at roughly 50/50 black and white/colour.
“Joe and I just wanted to thank you so much for being our photographer on our wedding day. Right from the first you made us feel at ease, and it has been a real pleasure to have you photograph us. The photos themselves are absolutely beautiful, and you have captured so many of my favourite moments from the day. Thank you so much for all your hard work. We are looking forward to talking to you again soon.” Charlotte and Joe
