From the moment Kate came to see me for a consultation meeting it was clear that she and Tom were planning a fantastic day! Most bride`s get excited by the prospect of planning their wedding but Kate was exceptionally thrilled by the whole thing and full of enthusiasm and ideas. She hadn`t even booked a venue at this point so it was really nice to be there right from the beginning of her planning and it was clear from pretty early on in the meeting that we got on and I would be photographing her big day. In the months before the wedding Kate kindly agreed to be a blogging bride on my blog (you can read about her journey in the blogging brides section) and wrote brilliantly and entertainingly about the ups and down of wedding organisation before finally arriving at the big day itself at South Farm.
Needless to say, the day itself was fantastic and just injected through with the sense of fun, enthusiasm and slightly zany energy that both Kate and Tom have together. There were singing waiters and emotional speeches as well as quiter moments, one of which is my favourite photo of the day of Tom and Kate having a quiet hug during the ceremony itself. South Farm was, as ever, beautiful and very individual feeling as well as having that unique rustic appeal that suited the day so well.
There are a few of my favourite images in the gallery below.
